Johanna Waldorf, ARAD, RAD RTS

Johanna graduated from the Vancouver Goh Ballet Professional Program before moving to London, England where she completed her diploma in dance teaching from the Royal Academy of Dance, Durham University. Her professional dance career in Europe included five years as a soloist with Balletto del Sud in Italy performing roles such as Snow Queen (Nutcracker) and Michaela (Carmen), national and international tours. 

 

Alongside her professional dance career Johanna continued with her passion for teaching, instructing daily ballet classes at the school of Balletto del Sud, returning for Goh Ballet summer schools, and teaching ballet within the Arts Umbrella Dance Programs. Although she utilizes the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi and examinations, her methods have also been diversified through training and performance in other genres including modern and contemporary dance techniques.

 

She opened Waldorf Ballet in 2016 with the goal to provide an inspiring environment for dancers to develop their training to pre-professional levels on the Sunshine Coast, in Sechelt, BC.
